Why I Love Working for the Justus Companies
The Justus family truly cares about their staff and residents. I will not soon forget when I saw Walt Justus, opening the car door for one of our residents and helping her out. It just shows you that it starts from the top and trickles down. This is not a job, this is a “labor of love.”
Justus is a company that has a rich history in the Indianapolis area that spans more than 110 years. I had a favorable opinion of the company years before I started working here because of the great reputation this company has in the community. I appreciate the company history, but my respect for Justus grew by leaps and bounds as I worked through and witnessed firsthand the compassion, care, concern and ultimately, the plan that kept us all safe during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
What I like best about working for Justus is how much they care about their employees. Working for Justus is truly an honor. I came from working for a company that did not care about their employees. Now, when I come to work every day, it doesn’t feel like work because I truly enjoy my job and my great team at Copper Ridge.
I moved my mother into one of the buildings at Crestwood Village South. A few years later, I read in their monthly newsletter that they were building an Assisted Living building that would include a full-service dining room. So, I got my resume together and applied, and I have not looked back.
