JOB STATUS: Full-time, Part-time; Hourly

 SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The concierge is responsible for providing general office support with a variety of clerical duties and related tasks.  The concierge is also responsible for answering incoming calls, resident and guest requests, patrolling the campus on foot, safeguarding against theft, loitering, trespassing and vandalism etc.



  • Welcome and greet evening visitors, determine nature of visit and direct them to appropriate staff/location
  • Answer incoming calls, determine purpose of calls, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department
  • Provide callers with information such as company address, directions to our location, fax numbers, website, and other related information.
  • Schedule and coordinate transportation services
  • Monitor Resident Register/Log
  • File documentation as necessary
  • Assist with Maintenance and Housekeeping service tickets and logs
  • Assist residents with copies and faxes as needed
  • Assist with resident reservations for events and outings
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot, checking for suspicious activities, vandalism and safety hazards
  • Check doors and windows of property to ensure they are appropriately secured
  • Responds to any alarms and makes appropriate calls

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Requires reasoning skills and the ability to carry out detailed, written or oral instructions with common sense

  • Requires administrative and organizational skills
  • Requires solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office with above average ability in Excel.
  • Requires a strong attention to detail.

  • Requires ability to work collectively with the administrative team as well as other departments
  • Requires willingness to learn and follow company policy and procedure
  • Requires ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of one year experience in an administrative assistant/receptionist/customer service role
  • High School diploma/general education degree (GED) with relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 – 50 pounds.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to exert up to 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force on a regular basis.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
